Pumpkin patch

Our Home Group met at a pumpkin patch. The plan was to meet at 3:30, stay for about an hour, then go to one member's home to eat potluck and carve pumpkins. We we stuck in bumper to bumper traffic and arrived at 4:15. Luckily, so did everyone else! As a group we went through the animal barn, took a tractor-hay ride and chose a pumpkin. Since Lissi loves "ball ball"s, she thought she was in orange ball heaven. We then split up to head to dinner/carving. At 6:30 we still hadn't even made it a mile from the pumpkin patch and we had to call and say we weren't going to make it. :( What a bummer. Apparently, the entire metro area decided that is was the perfect day for pumpkins! And it really was! What a gorgeous weekend....

Cute pics! We've learned from muddy expeditions to go one of the first 2 weekends of the month...and that there are 3-4 other "pumpkin patches" on the island! We should do it next year! :)

Cooool! I miss going to the pumpkin patch!! There isn't one around here. It makes me soooo sad. Cute pictures, as always....maybe one day we can make a trip to the patch all together!!
