Chinese New Year Party

We held our first annual Chinese New Year party at our house! Wink's sister, her husband, and their kids joined us for the festivities. For the year of the pig we collected toy pigs of various shapes and sizes and I made a pig-shaped cake. We collected dragons and made more of our own. We wore Chinese clothes and everyone ate with chopsticks (including the little ones). We swept away bad luck. We ate fortune cookies that I had made out of pie crusts. We even had a fun dragon dance after dinner! I hope we can continue this fun party in years to come. :)
