Funny Cal dinner

I made a chili recipe last night (turned out great). This was Cal's first experience with chili. Since it was straight out of the crock-pot, we added an ice cube to the kids bowls so that it wouldn't be quite as hot. We also had a loaf of bread and we told Cal he could have a slice after he ate some chili.

Cal went straight for the ice cube (he likes ice cubes) and ate the whole thing and then told us he wanted bread. Again, we told him he had to have some chili. He said, "but I ate the whole cold!" It was only at that point that we realized he thought we were telling him to eat the ice cube before he could have bread! Ha ha!

Eventually he got his slice of bread, but he was goofing around and it fell down a few times. He started ripping pieces off to eat. He then presented his bread in the shape of a "C" and said "C is for careful!" Never have we taught him the initial sound in "careful". Wink said that at the library and grocery store the adults will be so impressed that Cal "knows his colors" or "can count to 10". All Wink thinks is, "you have NO idea what this child is capable of...."
