Baby Shower

A shower at work! My work threw a baby shower for us. The Speech Paths and teachers got together with some food and lots of gifts for us. We ended up with quite a few summer outfits and some gift certificates. The Speech Paths went in together for an awesome group gift. They got me a personalized bunny towel off of my registry, a cool starfish and seahorse mobile off of the registry, a ton of great children's books (and amazingly I didn't already own any of them) including some Korean tales, a bunch of girlie hair accessories, and an adorable little girl purse. Cal even got a gift of a little stuffed dog (which he fell in love with at once!) I was so happy that people wanted to celebrate Lissi's arrival! :)

After the shower we went on a family adventure to the Scholastic Book Sale. That's a shower in and of itself! It is literally a huge warehouse FULL of children's books. Everything was 50% off during this sale. It was hard to limit ourselves, but we left with a small treasure trove of books. Now we have to figure out where in the world to fit all of these books!
