Kids say the darndest things

When we microwave potentially messy food, we typically put a paper towel on top of the plate. This evening the papertowel fell onto the floor after we had used it. Cal asked us, "Why is that on the floor?" To which we replied that we didn't know. So he came up with is own creative answer. He informed us that "Last night daddy put it on the floor for the mice to poop on." What?! We were having a mouse problem recently, but I had thought it was resolved. I can only hope that this statement isn't a bad omen.
