Lissi's Dedication

Today we dedicated Lissi in church. There were 5 babies being dedicated, 3 of whom were from our Home Group. The family next to us was also dedicating a baby that they had adopted from Korea. This little girl is the birth sibling of their other daughter. In fact, I hadn't known that this was an adoptive family (mom is Korean and an adoptee) until we were actually in Korea and I saw their family photo at the Morning Tomato coffee shop along with other adoptive families. It was special to me to stand in front of the congregation with them. I hope that we will get to know them better and our girls will become friends one day.

Wink's sister and her family were able to attend today's dedication. I was proud to have our own "cheering section" of family.

I pray that both Lissi and Cal will become believers at a young age. And I pray they will follow Jesus with all of their hearts for their entire lives. I hope that our family and church body will indeed come alongside of us and help raise them up.
